Camping in Canyonlands

In-park camping in Canyonlands is small and basic, and it's split by district. The reservable sites are in the Needles, booked through Recreation.gov and gone on busy spring and fall weekends. Island in the Sky has only Willow Flat — first-come, no water, and it fills early in season. Neither has hookups, and water is scarce park-wide, so most visitors base in Moab and day-trip the districts. The whole game is lead time: decide your dates, then book the Needles sites the moment your window opens, or arrive early for Willow Flat. <!-- VERIFY: Needles campground siteCount/fee/season; Willow Flat first-come status -->
