Camping in Acadia

Four campgrounds sit inside Acadia — Blackwoods and Seawall on the main Mount Desert Island section, Schoodic Woods on the quieter mainland peninsula, and Duck Harbor on remote Isle au Haut (ferry required). All reserve through Recreation.gov. Blackwoods is the closest to Bar Harbor and the Park Loop Road; Schoodic Woods offers the most modern facilities and the least crowded experience.
